7. <br />NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd) <br />f Leave of Absence Re nest: Authorization for a leave LEAVE OF ABSENCE <br />of a sense is wing requested by Mr. Robert J. Fisher, REQUEST BY MR. <br />E.E.O. Specialist, with Mr. Frank Alford, Director of ROBERT J. FISHER <br />E.E.O., recommending that Mr. Fisher's leave be granted AUTHORIZED, AS <br />on the tentative date of September 25, 1974, if it is NOTED <br />determined by Mr. Alford that the workload of his <br />office at that time will permit such a leave. If not, <br />Mr. Fisher is prepared to remain in his regular employ - <br />ment until November 15, 1974. <br />It is understood by Mr. Fisher and Mr. Alford that if <br />Mr. Fisher's leave is granted, and, subject to the <br />availability of funds and staffing pattern after Janu- <br />ary 1, 1975, he will be considered for regular employ- <br />ment upon return. <br />Mr. Lennon advised he is recommending, in view of Mr. <br />Fisher's past performance as an E.E.O. specialist, <br />that he be granted an education leave, without pay, <br />and would be considered under our policies for rehire <br />if there is an availability of funds and the staffing <br />pattern allows it. Mr. Fisher has been accepted at <br />the University of Washington, in the state of Washing- <br />ton. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and <br />unanimously carried, the above leave for Mr. Fisher <br />was approved as stipulated. <br />GRESS REPORTS <br />a. Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R -66: <br />1) River Bend Plaza Construction Report: RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />CONSTRUCTION RE- <br />Mr. Lennon, in the previous session with the public PORT <br />present, wanted to publicly acknowledge the marriage <br />of Mr. Jim Zackrocki, with The Hickey Company. Mr. <br />Zackrocki placed his priorities - -the mall first and <br />then his marriage - -he waited until the mall was com- <br />pleted before he got married. Congratulations, to <br />Jim'. <br />Mr. Zackrocki brought up the discussion on the ice <br />fountain at the old post office building, and that <br />Bill Slabaugh and Daryl Graff with Ideal Consoli- <br />dated are working together on this. It does oper- <br />ate, but he understands we have a little problem <br />with the motor installation and we have the Kim <br />representative scheduled for today or the lst part <br />of next week. <br />Mr. Lennon brought up two questions on this, regard- <br />ing the opening: 1) Little children falling in the <br />opening, and 2) Women's heels.
