Mr. Nimtz just resigned as the Board of Trustee <br />President and was appointed as a member on the <br />South Bend Board of Redevelopment Commission. <br />lay, we wish you luck, and will continue the trends of what Mr. <br />ielmen has said, and we will help you in whatever way we can. <br />PRESIDENT FRED J. HELMEN: <br />want to thank Jay and Morris for all the nice things they said. <br />oing back for 20 - 30 years, F. Jay Nimtz and I were Boy Scouts- - <br />e is still getting his card - -it speaks well of the Boy Scouts:, <br />.IWILLIE V. WILLIAMS: <br />want to go on record that this Commission would be pleased to <br />resent the President of this Commission a plaque for his honorable <br />ervice that he has given to the Commission for the time he has <br />pent. I am requesting this plaque be prepared as soon as possible <br />nd be presented to him at the next Commission meeting. <br />PRESIDENT FRED J. HELMEN: <br />ank you, Reverend. <br />(Ali were agreeable to have the plaque made as requested and noted above.) <br />MR. �OHN E. CHENNEY: <br />t has been my pleasure for the last eight (8) years to work with <br />red and I commend him highly for the job he has done. <br />am sorry to hear that he is leaving this Commission. <br />PRESIDENT FRED J. HELMEN: <br />t will be difficult after all these years of service- -not to attend <br />he twice a month meetings - -it will be quite unusual. This will be <br />uite a hurdle for me to adjust to, but there will be some other <br />hores, I am sure. <br />MR. E. L. WADE: <br />have been on this Commission for quite a few meetings (appointed <br />ul y 2, 1971), and Don is on vacation. Fred and this group, we <br />ave not had too many problems in getting along. <br />- 7 - <br />
