Mr. Lennon advised the Merry Avenue Project is almost complete, the only one remaining is the relocation of Madison'Scott. He has purchased a building on Western Avenue and is preparing to move within the next ten days. 3) Rehabilitation Report: This report was submitted by REHABILITATION Mr. William C. Ellison, Assistant Director, Operation Division. REPORT E -5: Rehabilitation work is in progress at 1015 -1/2 Colfax Avenue. Two final inspections for the month of July: 1216 West Thomas Street; and at 136 Laurel Street. E -3 one final inspection, at 801 Turnock Street. R -5 George Pope rehabilitation problem still pending. E -6 Written report was submitted by Keith Crightson on this project and discussed previously by Mr. Lennon under "Progress Reports ", 8b. 4) Relocation Progress Report: Mrs. Dorothy Howell, RELOCATION REPORT Dir ctor of Residential Relocation, submitted a written rep rt for the month: Southeast N.D.P. A -10 Workload remains the same as reported in June report: six families, four individuals. One apartment house at 230 E. Paris Street is in condemna- tion. No relocation can be attempted until condemnation proceedings are concluded. 1 Cities N.D.P. A -10: One individual remaining in the Model Cities Project Area. Resident was unable to secure adequate rental and will purchase a home. R -57: One individual on the workload. The house is in condemnation. Merry Avenue: One family on the workload. Move pending. City Wide: Nine families on the workload. Working with families. Model Cities Substandard: Nine families on workload. August 1, 1974, ends the fiscal year for Model Cities Sub- standard. No relocation payments will be made, prior to approval of a new contract. - 14 -
