IV. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 498 - COMMEMORATING MR. HELMEN'S SERVICES (Cont'd) <br />President Nimtz advised that it would be very appropriate to <br />have a resolution spread on the minutes commending Mr. Helmen <br />on his sixteen years of diligent and continuous services. <br />Motion was made by Mr. Morrison, seconded by Mr. Richardson and <br />unanimously carried that Resolution No. 498 be adopted and spread <br />on the minutes. The Resolution commending Mr. Helmen is as <br />follows: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 498 <br />RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the <br />Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, accepts with regret the resignation of Fred <br />J. Helmen as a Commissioner of the Department of Re- <br />development. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees <br />extends its thanks and appreciation to Fred J. Helmen <br />for the loyal, unselfish and devoted service he has <br />rendered to the City of South Bend by his nearly sixteen <br />(16) years of membership as a Redevelopment Commissioner. <br />His foresight and vision, his understanding, fairness <br />and enthusiasm in administering the Redevelopment Program, <br />have left a mark in the community that will carry on for <br />the years ahead in South Bend's future. The citizens of <br />today and tomorrow are indebted to Fred J. Helmen for <br />his civic leadership. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolu- <br />tion be spread upon the Minutes of the Board of Trustees <br />and a copy thereof be dispatched to Fred J.
