River Bend Plaza Schedule Update: The Commis- RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />sioner have received a copy of t e construction coordination SCHEDULE UPDATE, <br />notice of meetings which have now reconvened. These are on R -66 <br />the 1s and 3rd Tuesday's of each month, starting with March <br />5, until completion of the River Bend Plaza, including the <br />Jefferson Street alternate, approximately August 20th. These <br />meetings are held in the Clyde E. Williams River Bend Plaza <br />site o fice, at 323 South Michigan Street, which begins at <br />1:00 p m. The subcontractor meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. <br />President Helmen was present at the last meeting and said <br />there will be some unfinished business on the target date, <br />but not enough to affect the Grand Opening date. He is im- <br />pressed with the necessity of going full speed ahead. <br />Mr. Lennon advised the purlins are being received daily and <br />installed. The three loads are on schedule and we are getting <br />the Steel from the warehouses and it looks like the potential <br />steel strike will not affect us. <br />The ac ivities we have scheduled for the Grand Opening and <br />the 4tf of July have been discussed with the Civic Center <br />Authority and they have asked to go back to the Commission <br />and ha )e them give it some thought as to whether there will <br />be som confusion to have major events on the 4th of July, <br />e.g., olk Festival, etc. Ms. Sandy Greenhut's concern is <br />7 <br />
