Change Order No. l to Contract No. 2 and Supplementary A re ment: This contract is with Exterior Designing, Inc. and the Change Order is for an increase in contract amount of $30,000, Phase III, Project Indiana R -66. Commission author - izat iupplementary on is requested for this change order, along with the auth rization for the President and Secretary to execute the Agreement. Exterior Designing, Inc. had submitted their bid for Contract No. 2, in May, 1973, and by their own error, had omitted from the tase bid an amount for furnishing new maintenance equip- ment as required by Section 280, Technical Specifications of the ontract Documents. The estimated cost of said equipment plus profit to Exterior Design would be $35,000. Adding that figure to the base bid of the agent, it is still considerably below the next lowest bid. By written communications and in Commission meeting of June 22, 973, Exterior Design had agreed to purchase said maintenance equi ment on behalf of the Commission at the lowest wholesale pric available. They are to receive no commission or profit from the transaction and the sole consideration from the Com- miss on to the agent is the award of said Contract No. 2 to t e agent in amount of base bid. The purchase price and deli ery costs for said maintenance equipment may not exceed $30, 00 to the Commission. On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- mous y carried, Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 2, and Supplementary Agreement, with Exterior Designing, Inc., for an i crease in contract amount of $30,000, Phase III, R -66, was approved and the President and Secretary authorized to exec to the documents. d. Bicentennial Village: Approval was requested for Biceritennial Village, to be on:a two block area, located on 100 South and 100 North Michigan Street.
