Workers are installing ceiling tiles at Indiana Bell office lobbies, wall coverings were being installed, and quarry tile flooring being set for anticipated completion by the end of Febraury at utility office building. J. Interior equipment being installed for a mid February opening of the Boul -Jeff Restaurant and Lounge, 113 West Jefferson Street location. K. Architects Johnson and Burgee unveiled their scale model of the Civic Center Complex and it is a truly inspiring building for the riverscape site. The various committee's in selecting this architectural firm are to be commended for their choice. 3) Merry Avenue: Mr. Larry E. Wartha, Assistant Director MERRY AVENUE of Administration and Finance, submitted his written report for the month of January, 1974, and update is: Acquisition: Previous report on this for month of December was in error. Our attorneys show 10 parcels to be acquired- -four county owned; five by condemnation, and one regular. Madison Scott is to be completed shortly. Demolition: Five structures remaining. Condemnation: Nine condemnations- -four county and five of these regular. Deposit has been made with court on two regulars. 4) Relocation Progress Report: Mrs. Dorothy Howell, RELOCATION Director of Residential Relocation, submitted her PROGRESS REPORT written report for the month: Southeast A -10: Workload 30 - -22 families and 8 in di vi duals. Model Cities A -10: Workload 14 - -9 families and 5 individuals. Two families moved and working with others. Ind. R -57: Workload two families - -one a homeowner and one a tenant - -both to purchase homes. Merry Avenue: One family remaining on workload is waiting for the transfer of their liquor license. Model Cities Extended Services: Workload 11 families. No referrals are being accepted from the Substandard Building Dept. Waiting for completion of contract with Model.Cities. - 16 -
