The purpose of the amendment is to designate the property located <br /> at 518 South Michigan Street as a Local Historic Landmark. <br /> At its June 19, 1995 meeting, the Historic Preservation Commission of South <br /> Bend and St. Joseph County moved to send to the Common Council a favorable <br /> recommendation to designate the above mentioned property as a Local Historic <br /> Landmark. <br /> Also attached are copies of the statement of Architectural and Historical <br /> Significance and a letter of support for establishment of this landmark from <br /> Jon Hunt of the Department of Community and Economic Development.
