We have already expended about $500,000. <br />We are going to the City Council requesting to start the <br />$1,300,000 presented December 17th, and the first reading is <br />set for January 14, 1974. <br />Chenney: <br />I am in favor of the Green Belt, but feel the Southeast <br />side should be pushed. That needs to be cleaned up down there. <br />Mr, Lennon: <br />We are working for a three -year program. If Community <br />Development legislation does not provide money, we should <br />gear ourselves to get the necessary money so we can complete <br />the project. <br />Pres dent Helmen: <br />How much land west of Michigan Street? <br />Mr. L1ennon: <br />At the present time, none involved in the Southeast <br />ide. Studebaker Corridor Study has been completed by <br />ie Area Plan Commission and the Bartholemew consultants. <br />Mr. Lennon outlined the designated areas on the chart. <br />Mr. W. gins: <br />Peripheral area surrounding it will undergo some <br />automatic upgrading. There is some desirable property. <br />Mrs. Allen: <br />You will have to extend a park lane walk so the people <br />ill have some sense of security to walk. <br />Mr. Lennon: <br />The lighting, streets and sewers, parks, police <br />i vol <br />vement -- everything is part of the proposal. <br />
