ORDINANCE NO. 66--O-95 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND MAKING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 8612-95 OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ADDRESSING SALARIES OF <br /> TEAMSTER EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council determines that it is necessary to make <br /> certain technical corrections to Ordinance No. 8612-95 of the South <br /> Bend Common Council addressing salaries of Teamster employees of <br /> the City of South Bend. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section I . Section II of Ordinance No. 9612-95 of the South <br /> Bend Common Council shall be and hereby is amended to correct the <br /> maximum annual compensation for the following Teamster positions : <br /> 1995 1996 1997 1998 <br /> Clerk Terminal Operator 7 . 99 8 .2G 8 .53 8 . 9G <br /> 16, 349 16, 910 17, 597 18,367 <br /> Communication Specialist 20, 072 20, 634 21, 320 22,090 <br /> 20, 083 20, 608 21, 251 21,971 <br /> Data Entry Specialist II 17, 763 18, 325 19, 011 13,781 <br /> 17, 709 18,'234 18, 876 19,596 <br /> Secretary IV - Bargaining 8 .55 8 . 82 9 . 15 9 .52 <br /> 18, 351 18, 912 19, 598 20,368 <br /> Section II . Ordinance No. 8612-95 of the South Bend Common <br /> Council shall be and hereby is amended to change Section VII to <br /> Section VIII and to add the following section as Section VII : <br /> (6) Section VII . Employee Suggestion Program. <br /> An employee suggestion program is established for <br /> the fiscal year 1996 . Pursuant to this Program, <br /> employees who submit constructive suggestions concerning <br /> City operations which are implemented and which result in <br /> a quantifiable benefit to the City may be eligible to <br /> receive a monetary award, established at ten percent <br /> (10%) of the City' s net savings during the first twelve <br /> (12) months of the implementation of the suggestion, not <br /> to exceed a monetary award of $2, 500 . Employees whose <br /> suggestions are implemented which result in no <br /> quantifiable benefit to the City may be eligible to <br /> receive a monetary award of from $25 - $500 . The <br /> following employees are ineligible to receive any <br /> monetary award under the employee suggestion program <br /> Employees with the authority or responsibility to make <br /> the suggested change; employees who would be expected as <br /> a part of their normal duties or part of assigned <br /> research or study; employees who are directors, deputies, <br /> acci ci-nnt Ai rc,ntnrc <br />
