Any areas of the pavilion utilized by the contractor are expected to be <br />left in equal or better condition than found at completion of work. <br />Addendum is anticipated to be issued on Friday and currently is slated to include meeting minutes and <br />modifications to detectable warning special provision and detail. No approved equals have been accepted at <br />this time. <br />VII. Contractor Questions (Including subsequent responses by DWCity where applicable) <br />Question 1: Is it possible to get cut/fill calculations or will only common excavation quantity be provided. <br />Answer 1: Earthwork summary table(s) will be provided with Addendum #2. <br />Question 2: How will wind chime allowance be handled? Will a lift be required to hang? <br />Answer 2: Windchime will be selected by City during submittals process. It is anticipated that <br />allowance will cover cost of chime, shipping, and installation. Manufacturer is provided in <br />specifications if contractors wish to visit their website. It is anticipated that the selected chime will <br />be of 90" hanging length/451b weight or less. Height of actual hanging location has not been <br />measured but it is likely a lift will be required to hang, in order to hang at a height to prevent <br />tampering. <br />Question 3: In regard to Compacted Aggregate #53, what is referred to as 'local aggregate'? <br />Answer 3: The use of locally mined aggregate will not be allowed. Limestone, crushed concrete, or <br />clean slag that meet the prevailing INDOT Specification would all be acceptable. <br />Question 4: Could planks be replaced with cast -in place concrete at boat launch? <br />Answer 4: Yes. The use of planks is intended to simplify work below the water level. If contractor has <br />means to construct CIP slab below the water level we would entertain that option. <br />Question 5: Are beams on sides of ramp necessary with aggregate underneath as base? <br />Answer 5: Yes, this is to reduce impact of washout and animal burrowing. <br />Question 6: Can planting completion date be modified to account for fall dig of trees? <br />Answer 6: Yes. This will be addressed in addendum. <br />
