ORDINANCE NO. w AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6738-80 TO CORRECT THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 830 N. MICHIGAN STREET, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH WAS THEREBY DESIGNATED AND ESTABLISHED AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK WHEREAS, on January 28, 1980 the Common Council adopted Ordinance No. 6738-80 which amended the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend to designate and establish a historic landmark for real property located at 830 North Michigan Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, commonly known as the North Michigan Pumping Station and Well Field, and WHEREAS, the legal description of the North Michigan Pumping Station and Well Field set forth in Ordinance No. 6738-80 is incorrect and this Ordinance will correct that error. BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1 . The legal description of the North Pumping Station and Well Field which was designated as a historic landmark on January 28, 1980 under Ordinance No. 6738-80 is corrected, amended and set forth as follows: Commencing at a four inch cast iron pipe three and one half feet in length set 8 7/10ths feet north of the Southwest corner of Lot Number 20 in Rockstroh Brothers Sub-division of a part of Out Lots Number 126, 127, 128 and 129 in the Third Plat of Bank Out Lots platted by the State Bank of Indiana, thence east at right angles with the east line of Michigan Street 606 feet to the westerly bank of the St . Joseph River, thence North Westerly with the bank of said river to the East line of Michigan Street, thence South along the east line of said street to the place of beginning, containing five acres more or less, and also the island lying within the St . Joseph River, northeasterly and opposite the tract herein conveyed, first above described. Section 2 . This amendatory Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and Legal publication. /11- Member of the Common C uncil
