The pet shop permit holder shall retain a copy of the <br /> written statement for a period of twelve (12) months from the <br /> date of sale. <br /> The pet shop permit holder shall also provide the <br /> purchaser with a "Pet Registration Required" form, as required by <br /> Section 5-32, if the purchaser resides in the City. <br /> (c) All pet shops defined herein shall take care to house <br /> animals in a sanitary manner,- #Appropriate medical veterinary <br /> services by a licensed veterinarian, care, and housing shall be <br /> given according to individual species! needs . <br /> Sec. 5-37. Circuses and carnivals. <br /> Any person who is responsible for a circus or carnival as <br /> defined by this chapter must comply with the licensing provision <br /> of section 4-22 of this Code. <br /> Sec. 5-38. Zoological parks. <br /> Zoological parks may be issued complimentary zoological <br /> permits at no fee. <br /> Sec. 5-39. Animal control shelter; animal welfare <br /> organizations <br /> No pet shop permit shall be required of an humane society <br /> animal control shelter or animal welfare organizations;_ <br /> Hhowever, all other animal care provisions of this chapter shall <br /> apply to an animal control shelter or animal welfare <br /> organization, and such facilities shall be subject to inspections <br /> by the Department of Code Enforcement or any other authority <br /> responsible for enforcing the provisions of this Chapter. <br /> Secs. 5-40 - 5-44. Reserved. <br /> SECTION IX. Chapter 5, Article 8, of the South Bend <br /> Municipal Code shall be, and hereby is, amended to read as <br /> follows : <br /> 33 <br />
