ORDINANCE NO. ��''96 <br /> An Ordinance of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br /> Appropriating Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars($65,000) <br /> From the Economic Development State Grant Fund (Fund 210) <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council of the City of South Bend hereby determines that it is necessary and in <br /> the best interest of the City to make certain appropriations from funds within the Economic <br /> Development State Grant Fund of the City of South Bend for certain expenses related to the <br /> construction, design and demolition of certain site improvements related to the development of land <br /> in the Blackthorn Development Area. Said funds will be received from the Indiana Department of <br /> Commerce through an existing grant agreement between the City of South Bend and the <br /> Department of Commerce. Said grant is a part of the Department of Commerce's Economic <br /> Development Grant program. The grant agreement states that said funds are to be specifically used <br /> to make certain site improvements to support the location of Bowne &Co. in South Bend. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I. The following sums are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from and <br /> within the Economic Development State Grant Fund of the City of South Bend: <br /> Sixty-five Thousand Dolars($65,000) <br /> Said funds are those funds that will be received by the City of South Bend from the Indiana <br /> Department of Commerce through an existing grant agreement. Said grant requires that these funds <br /> be used to make certain site improvements to support the location of Bowne &Co. in South Bend. <br /> Costs of said site improvements are to be shared between the City of South Bend - Division of <br /> Redevelopment, American Electric Power, Bowne &Co., and use of said grant. <br /> Section II.
