We had no rejections; all accepted the appraisals. <br />These re for the Model Neighborhood (MN #1) and the Southeast <br />Neighb rhood area (SE #1), in the Neighborhood Development <br />Progra , Project Indiana A -10. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unanimously <br />carrie , the above - listed Option Agreements were approved and <br />the Pr sident authorized to execute. <br />On the question raised by President Helmen on the replacement <br />housing grants, Mr. Lennon advised that the people who have <br />been di placed can receive replacement housing grants - -with <br />a maxim m up to $15,000 - -based on present and legitimate needs. <br />The tot 1 grant cannot exceed this amount with the house and <br />lot for the cost to move that family into another home for <br />similar requirement. For example, if they receive $6,000 for <br />their home and the replacement home costs $14,000, they would <br />be elig ble for an $8,000 replacement housing grant - -or an <br />amount tip to $15,000 for the similar replacement requirement. <br />Most of these people were eligible for the maximum amount. <br />This is governed by Federal Law, under the Uniform Relocation <br />Act of 1970. <br />i. Cole Associates, Inc. Contract: Authorization was COLE ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />requested-lo enter into a contract with Cole Associates, Inc., CONTRACT APPROVED, <br />for the Southeast Neighborhood and Model Cities Neighborhood A -10 <br />Site Improvements Engineering Contract, Indiana A -10, with <br />total compensation not to exceed $2,500.00. This is for the <br />necessa engineering work, basically the legal descriptions, <br />surveyin , etc. <br />On motioi by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unanimously <br />carried, the President and Secretary were authorized to enter <br />into a c ntract with Cole Associates, Inc., for Project A -10, <br />in amount not to exceed $2,500.00. <br />j. Southeast Side Project Area Committee Contract: SOUTHEAST SIDE PAC <br />Authoriz tion was requested to enter into a contract with the CONTRACT APPROVED, <br />PAC Comm ttee, in amount not to exceed $13,200.00, for the A -10 <br />Southeas Neighborhood Area, SE #1, in the Neighborhood Develop- <br />ment Pro ram, Project Indiana A -10. <br />- 12 - <br />
