The large in- crease in quantity is due to the necessity of removing brick paveme t along the existing gutter line on Laurel Street in the ar as where the street was widened to provide a parking lane aid the adjustment of the gutter grades to provide drainage to the existing inlets. This was discussed with the City Engineer and agreed the work would be necessary to get adequate drainage in the areas.
