Mr. Patrick McMahon, Manager <br />of Bureau of Public Construction, agrees this request is <br />reasonable. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- <br />mously carried, Change Order No. 9 to Contracts A, B, C and <br />D, was approved for an extension of time to August 24, 1973. <br />h. Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 5, Phase III: CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />Approval was requested of this Change Order with a ickey TO CONTRACT NO. 5, <br />Co., Inc., for a decrease in contract amount of $104,000.00, PHASE III, PEDESTRIAN <br />R -66 Project. WAY, APPROVED, R -66 <br />Due to a misunderstanding in the contract bidding, the Hasting's <br />Paving Company, a subcontractor to The Hickey Company, is pass- <br />ing a credit to the Owner in amount of $39,000 in Part "A" of <br />Contract No. 5. A further credit to the Owner in amount of <br />$65,000 for performing work in detail: The Hickey Company <br />Will s blet only the flat brick paving to the Hastings Company, <br />all in accordance with Section 262, and The Hickey Company will <br />take over the work of the brick edging, copings, and walls in <br />accordance with the balance of Section 262, at the same time <br />purchasing the specified materials from the Hastings Company, <br />with a total savings to the Department of Redevelopment of <br />$104,000.00. <br />On motion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- <br />mously carried, Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 5, Phase <br />III, was approved for a decrease in contract amount of <br />$104,000.00. <br />9 <br />
