6. <br />NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd) <br />Mr. Slabaugh advised their structural engineer has taken <br />an they look at it and wants to beef it up to support the <br />wall. A reinforced concrete joint beam tied into the <br />columns of the building will be 1/3' width to 2/3' width. <br />The structural engineer said it will cost this amount <br />of money. This will be under the Mall- -under Jefferson <br />St eet in prominent area. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani- <br />mously carried, Change Order No. 2 to Vault Contract No. 1, <br />was approved, for an increase in contract price of $1,979.00, <br />with Christman Construction Co., Inc. <br />e. Change Order No. 4 to Contracts A, B, C and D: CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 <br />This Change Order is with Rieth -Riley Construction Co., TO CONTRACTS A, B, C <br />Inc., for improvements to be made on Sorin Street, Project & D, E -3 APPROVED <br />Indiana E -3, for an increase in contract price of $35,903.54. <br />Mr. Lennon advised this amount, along with $17,590, will be <br />paiJ by the City Department of Engineering. We have met with <br />the Project Area Committee and residents on Sorin Street. <br />Thi3 will put Sorin Street back in the E -3 Project. This is <br />a City job but it does come under our jurisdiction. We have <br />met with Mr. Richardson and with the PAC Committee and resi- <br />den s. We will be charging the City for this and this will <br />be grant -in -aid. <br />On inotion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- <br />mously carried, Change Order No. 4 to Contracts A, B, C <br />and D, with Rieth -Riley Construction Co., Inc., for an in- <br />crease in contract price of $35,903.54, was approved. <br />f. Reuse Appraisal Contracts, Merry Avenue Project: REUSE APPRAISAL <br />Com ission aut orization was requested to enter into Reuse CONTRACTS APPROVED, <br />Appraisal Contracts with Forrest Eckert and John G. Pence MERRY AVENUE PROJECT <br />Associates, Inc., for the Merry Avenue Project, in amount <br />not to exceed $450.00, subject to Legal Counsel approval. <br />Mr. Lennon advised this is required by HUD and is a part <br />of the Model Cities Project, the Merry Avenue area. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani- <br />mously carried, the above Reuse Appraisal Contracts were <br />app oved and the President and Secretary authorized to <br />exe ute. <br />men <br />- 7 - <br />g.
