Williams, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- <br />mous y carried, Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 32 <br />was pproved for advertising, as noted for above parcels. <br />e. Change Order No. 1 to Demolition and Site Clearance <br />Cont act No. 27 -A: Commission approval was requested of <br />Chan ]e Order No. 1: to this contract with Julius O'Neal <br />Truc ing Company, for the removal and construction of new <br />sidewalk which conforms to the Mall specifications, for <br />Disp sition Parcel No. 8 -3, for a total increase in contract <br />pric of $2,606.56, R -66. (The new Peanut Shop). <br />Mr. Ed Bauer said the demolition crew completely tore up the <br />sidewalk with the bulldozer. The tenant moved in January 15. <br />The sidewalk has to be replaced prior to Mall work, as it is <br />a sa ety hazard for customers going in the store. This will <br />be a permanent installation. In the Mall contract, as in <br />many other cases, it will be roughed up and covered with a <br />topping. The sidewalk will not go all the way to the curb- - <br />a portion on Michigan Street and a portion on Wayne Street <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unani- <br />mous y carried, Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 27 -A was <br />appr ved for a total increase in contract price of $2,606.56, <br />with Julius O'Neal Trucking Company. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />TO DEMOLITION AND <br />SITE CLEARANCE <br />CONTRACT NO. 27 -A <br />APPROVED, R -66 <br />f. Vault Retaining Wall Contract No. 4: Authorization VAULT RETAINING WALL <br />was equested to enter into a Vault Retaining Wall Contract CONTRACT NO. 4 AP- <br />No. 4, with Glaser Construction Company, at Drumville- PROVED, R -66 <br />Guit rland, for a 12" concrete block wall with intermediate <br />bond beam, in amount of $1,160.00, R -66. <br />Mr. Slabaugh said he went to each of the vault owners to beef <br />up, or let us build a wall so we can demolish, backfill and <br />put n new sidewalks. This is one of the cases they asked us to <br />build a wail and get everything out from Michigan Street. This <br />will be built according to Mall specifications within four feet <br />of the curb.
