Williams <br />and nanimously carried, one staff was authorized to <br />atte d the above meeting. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />REGIONAL MEETING ON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, <br />CHICAGO, ILLINOIS <br />a. National League of Cities and U.S. Conference of NATIONAL LEAGUE OF <br />Mayors National Meeting of Cit Man ower Planners: Mr. CITIES AND U.S. CONFERENCE <br />Frank J. Alford, Equal Employment Opportunity Officer, OF MAYORS NATIONAL MEETING <br />attended this meeting January 9 through 12, 1973, and OF CITY MANPOWER PLANNERS <br />gave a written summarization of the meeting. <br />The Commissioners each received a copy of the report. <br />. Annual Property Management Report: Rev. Billy ANNUAL PROPERTY MANAGE - <br />W. K rk, Property Management, submitted a written annual MENT REPORT <br />report, on R -66 and R -57 Projects, with copies to each <br />of the Commissioners. <br />8. OTHER MATTERS <br />Mr. Wade said he wanted to publicly thank Mr. Sla- <br />baugh for his assistance in getting St. Joseph Street ST. JOSEPH STREET <br />open to Colfax. <br />Temp rare Fill for Alley: <br />r. Kagel said there had been some conversation re- SERVICE ALLEY ASSIGN - <br />lati a to alley Mr. Wertheimer had referred to at the time MENT <br />the Parking Garage opened up. Discussion was on temporary <br />capping of some type, or matting. He said Mr. Wertheimer's <br />comp aints are most valid. During the week, Karl King's <br />L.W. . property came up and someone was to discuss with Karl <br />how tuickly he can vacate, so the building can be demolished. <br />14r. Wertheimer said in the meantime there is a terrible <br />mud hole. People could not get out of the parking lot. Mr. <br />Slab ugh said this contract was just awarded in today's meet- <br />ing. At this point, we can only do half of it. Mr. Wertheimer <br />said this is also a service alley and vehicles and pedestrians <br />use 't. <br />- 13 - <br />
