10 <br />provided, may be ordered to take such leave if in the judgment of her supervisor <br />she cannot adequately perform her duties. <br />k. c irt Leave.: Permanent employees may be authorized to be absent.from <br />duty with pay when summoned for jury duty or when served, other than being the <br />litigant in the case, with a subpoena to appear before the court. An employee <br />choosing to be absent on a leave with pay status consents thereby to waive pay <br />from the Redevelopment Department in an amount equal to the fees he receives <br />for court service. If his court fees equal or exceed his salary, he shall be <br />entitled to no salary for such period of court leave. <br />10. HEALTH IND SAFETY. <br />a. Employees shall be provided safe, sanitary and healthful working condi- <br />tions, <br />b.' loyees shall be covered by Worlom s Compensation Insurance. <br />ll. TRAINING. <br />a. In-service training shall be provided to aid employees to gain efficiency <br />in their wo k. <br />b. EmIloyee training shall be a function of every supervisor. <br />12. GRIEVANCES. <br />a. Right of Employees. Employees shall have the right to present grievances <br />through their designated immediate supervisor. In doing so, employees shall be <br />assured fre dom from restraint, interference, discrimination and reprisal. Super- <br />visors at all levels shall receive and act promptly.on employees' complaints. <br />b. Supervisory Responsibility. The Supervisor shall reduce the grievances <br />to writing long with his written reply. A copy of this reply shall be signed <br />by the agri ved employee and placed in his personnel jacket. <br />c. Aplearance before Executive Director. If the employee is not satisfied <br />with the re ults as directed by his immediate supervisor, he shall have the right <br />to appear before and present his grievance to the Executive Director as a final <br />appeal. <br />13. PERFORNWINCE RATING. <br />Employees shall be rated on a semi - annual basis. The rating shall be dis- <br />cussed with the employee. <br />14. SERVICE RECORDS. <br />A servi ce record shall be maintained for ` every employee and shall contain <br />complete information pertinent to his employment, including dates of employment, <br />and pay chaEges. <br />The Executive Director shall maintain all records necessary to the proper . <br />administration of the personnel program. <br />
