VICE PRESIDENT
Mrs. Curtis nominated Mr. Welsheimer, Vice President of the
Board of Trustees, seconded by Mr. Wertheimer, and unani-
mously carried by all Trustees.
3. SECRETARY
Mr. Wertheimer nominated Mrs. Curtis, Secretary of the
Board of Trustees, seconded by Mr. Welsheimer, and unani-
mously carried by all Trustees.
CITATION TO MR. LLOYD S. TAYLOR
The Chairman said he would like to re -echo President Helmen's
comments to Mr. Taylor in last Friday's Commission meeting con-
cerning his efforts and what he has accomplished in the past
year. Mr. Taylor is respected by the community, the downtown
people and the contractors. There is a feeling of confidence
now and Mr. Taylor will be missed. "Everybody owes you a great
debt of gratitude in what you have done in getting this program
off the ground."
Motion made by Mr. Wertheimer, seconded by Mr. Peacock, and
unanimously carried, that the Board of Trustees go on record
as expressing their gratitude and commendation for the splendid
work done by Mr. Lloyd S. Taylor, as Executive Director for the
Department of Redevelopment, City of South Bend.
Mr. Taylor said whatever has been accomplished in the past year
could not have been done without the full support of the Trustees
and Commission. The magnitude of the development being planned
for our downtown is beyond our greatest expectations. Mr. Taylor
said he has enjoyed the eight years he has served in the City
administration.
APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS
Motion was unanimously made by the Trustees to have the present
slate of Commissioners re- appointed for another year. The Com-
missioners are:
Mr. Fred J. Helmen
Mr. John E. Chenney
Rev. Willie V. Williams
Mr. B. L. Wade
Mr. Donald A.
