The <br />is signed by Gilbert Vance, Senior Vice President <br />Trust Officer, @ $10.10 per square foot, for 5,610 <br />re feet, or a total bid of $56,661.00. Accompany - <br />the bid is an executed Redevelopment Affidavit of <br />Collusion and Redeveloper's Statement of Public <br />losure, along with Treasurer's Check No. 29921, <br />,he First Bank and Trust Company, in the amount of <br />66.10, surety on the bid. <br />Mr. H. Edward Glaser presented a brief summary of their <br />proposal. The owner of said Land Trust No. 29 -5094 is <br />City Development Company, an Indiana partnership consist- <br />ing of Herman F. Glaser and his son, H. Edward Glaser. <br />If he Redevelopment Commission approves the bid as sub- <br />mit ed, the Glaser Construction Company will erect a one - <br />sto y building on the site, the building to be divided <br />int four retail units - -three on Michigan Street and <br />one on West Wayne Street. Should the bid be accepted and <br />the land available, construction is planned to start August <br />1, 1972 with completion by January 1, 1973. This will be <br />the third project in the Downtown Renewal Program for <br />Gla er Construction Company. Mr. Glaser presented a draw- <br />ing of the proposed redevelopment. <br />Mr. Herman F. Glaser stated he is pleased to be taking an <br />active role in the redevelopment of downtown South Bend <br />and has conferred with the Mayor, the Chamber of Commerce <br />and the South Bend Downtown Council concerning future <br />pla s.
