6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd T_ Mr. Wiggins moved for approval of the above grants, se- condel by Mr. Chenney and unanimously carried. c. Resolution No. 395: This Resolution authorizes the ftnation of certain improvements (excavation of soil), as a ion-cash grant-in-aid to the LaSalle Park Urbar Re- newal Protect, Indiana R-57. Mr. Wiggins moved for the adoption of Resolution No. 395, seconled by Rev. Williams and unanimously carried. 1. Resolution No. 396: This Resolution authorizes the d)nation of certain improvements (extension of streets), as a ion-cash grant-in-aid to the LaSalle Park Urban Re- newal Project, Indiana R-57. The Urban Renewal Plan was such that certain streets within the project were to be recon;tructed and in the process new finish grade level becam? mandatory. The new grade level mandated the ex- tensi)n of the streets at grade level to a point of logi- cal c)nclusion and to extend certain streets beyond the proje:t area boundary to point of logical conclusion. Mr. W ggins moved for the adoption of Resolution No. 395, econded by Mr. Chenney and unanimously carried. n. Joint NAHRO and Downtown Conference: Authori- zatioi was requested to send four (4 -staff members and a Commission members wishing to attend the North Central Regional Council NAHRO Annual Conference which will )e held in conjunction with the National Downtown and T)wn Centers Conference, in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 14 th-ough 17, 1972. The fee to attend both conferences is $55.00 per NAHRO member, Mr. Wiggins said he would like to attend. A canvass of the Commission is to be made if the dates may coincide with their schedules and they may or want to attend. On motion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, authorization for staff and Commission, as shown above, was g,anted. Motion unanimously carried. fi. National Association of Minority Contractors Conference: Authorization was requested for a staff membe- to attend the National Association of Minority Contractors Conference, in Chicago, April 11 through 15, 1972. Mr. Taylor requested.Mr. Frank Alford, our EEO Officer, be authorized to attend this Conference. The registration fee is $100.00.
