4. COMMUNICATIONS a. Letter from Mr. Charles Maxwell to Redevelop- me t Commissioners, dated March 2: This letter from Mr Maxwell, relative to his salary, was received and duly noted and placed in his personnel file. 5. OLD BUSINESS None. 6. NEW BUSINESS a. Engineering and Inspection Services: Engineer- ing and inspection services contract form has been ap- proved by our Commission Legal Counsel with the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend covering inspection and resident engineering on all.of our construction projects. The Redevelopment Staff will be taken out of this field. The Board of Publi -c Works has approved the following co tracts and Commission authorization is requested for th President and Secretary to execute the contracts: 1) Phase II -B, Contract 1, Part A & B, with Arco Engineering Construction Corporation. Contract Amount: $559,008.75 -- Maximum compensation not to exceed $21,000.00. 2) Phase II -B, Contract 2, Part C, with Rieth -Riley Construction Co., Inc. Contract Amount: $327,978.42--Maxi- mum compensation not to exceed $12,300.00. 3) Demolition Contract No. 23 -C, with Siebert & Sons Construction Co. Contract Amount: $24,400.00--Maxi- mum compensation not to exceed $915.00. Mr. Wiggins moved for approval of the above contracts ani the President and Secretary be authorized to exe- cute the contracts, with the maximum compensations not to exceed the specified amounts.
