Evansville, Indiana Trip: Mr. Ashenfelter said <br />EVANSVILLE MALL <br />the <br />trip to Evansville, Indiana on December 9th and 10th <br />TRIP, DECEMBER 9 & 10 <br />to view <br />the mall was enlightening. They met with people <br />who <br />mere very helpful in relating the background and <br />came <br />back with another plus to add to the collection of <br />Malls <br />we have seen. <br />b. Downtown Rehabilitation Report, R -66: Mr. Edwin <br />DOWNTOWN REHABILI- <br />Baue <br />, Downtown Rehabilitation Supervisor, in his written <br />TATION REPORT, R -66 <br />repo <br />-t advised inspection data is being compiled pertinent <br />to 2 <br />priority parcels in a two -block area along the Mall <br />rout <br />. Inspection and write -ups were complete on 18 <br />parc <br />is with a total of 16 tenant spaces and five spaces <br />curr <br />ntly vacant. Of the latter group, rehabilitation <br />activity <br />has been started and is currently underway at <br />three <br />locations and the fourth location is in the plan- <br />ning <br />and consultation stage prior to redevelopment. Of <br />the <br />remaining six parcels in the priority sequence of <br />rehabilitation <br />activity, a total of eleven ground floor <br />tenants <br />are included, for inspection and write -ups. <br />Preliminary <br />design proposals subject to review with the <br />owners <br />and tenants in this priority group will follow <br />the <br />inspection write -up time period. <br />c. Business Relocation, R -66: Mr. Paul E. Becher, <br />BUSINESS RELOCATION, <br />Commercial <br />Relocation Director, said included in the <br />R -66 <br />claims <br />being paid are two moving expense claims for <br />$7,856.87 <br />and two small business displacement payments <br />at $2,500.00 <br />each. <br />Also, <br />that he has now received the portion of the Reloca- <br />tion <br />Handbook relating to commercial relocation. As soon <br />as it <br />is thoroughly reviewed, his staff can start making <br />Payments. <br />8.
