REHABILITATION REPORT, <br />Madison, Rehabilitation Director, gave a verbal report: E -3', E -5 & R�-57' <br />At present, alterations are being made on the E -5 site <br />office, ocated at 128 North Birdsell Street, in the <br />Model Cities area. Our staff is "working out of this <br />office, Without telephone installation as yet. <br />27 inspe tions were made in E -3 and three-in the R -57 <br />area. S Oren loans have been prepared to go to Indian <br />apol i s aid el everr',.grants --three in E -3 and eight. in R -57. <br />Mr. Madison said, at present there are two secretary <br />trainees in their office who will be transferred to <br />the Modell Cities E -5 office. <br />President Helmen asked how -the Model. Cities personnel <br />are prog essing. Mr. Madis,on'advised _it is entering <br />its fifti month of approval. We will; have to be <br />prod'ucti a in,the next seven months to `get funding <br />for the ollowing year, plus answer some questions <br />HUD askel previously for approval of the Code Enforce- <br />ment Pro ram. <br />f.` Downtown Negotiations, R -66: Mr. Hubert M. Parking Structure Location: Mr. Bruce C. PARKING STRUCTURE <br />Hammersc midt advised we need a decision on where the LOCATION <br />parking structure is to be located - -that decision is <br />pertinent. We need to make a move on where we will put <br />the gara e . _Bring it to a head;; confer with Ci ty. or <br />someone n what is the proper planning of this struc- <br />ture. M% Barbe advised the City Engineer gave us a <br />letter t that effect - -on the location of the garage. <br />The loca ion would be in the middle of the block. It <br />is the C mmission's option to what would best suit the <br />plan. <br />h. Post Office: President Helmen asked what is POST OFFICE <br />the latest on the post office? Mr. Hammerschmidt advised <br />the post office authorities are very anxious to comptete <br />the acquisition of the post office site prior to October <br />29th and we are in position to do so finally.
