7. PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd <br />d, City -Wide Relocation: Mrsk Dorothy Howell, <br />Residential Relocation Director, reported they have <br />a current workload of eleven families. In March, the <br />staff relocated four families; one in LaSalle Park <br />Homes, Inc,; one in private rental housing; and two. <br />families in private sales housing. <br />E. Relocation, R -66: Mrs. Dorothy Howell re- <br />ported there was a total workload of eighty -two in <br />this rroject, which consists of twenty -five families. <br />and fifty -seven individuals. Currently, the staff <br />has a workload of ten families, nine individuals, <br />or a total of nineteen. During the month of March, <br />three families were relocated into private rental <br />housi g. Five businesses have been added to the <br />Prope ty Management Rent Rolls. <br />8. 9EDESTRIAN MALL <br />he Commission discussed making another trip, in <br />one ol the Department cars, to visit other Cities' malls <br />to help determine our preferences. An early,.date will <br />be decided upon to visit Flint, Michigan and return by <br />way ol Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo, Michigan. The three <br />Downt wn Council members who made the trip to Pittsburgh <br />may a so be advised. <br />Flint Michigan has a concrete type of canopy, not as <br />sugge ted by Environmental Planning and Design. Ann <br />Arbor has 'a, Tartan surface-recommended for the surface <br />of th UmAI . ", -The purpose of the trip is to get first <br />hand -nformation. If the Council should act favorably, <br />a Special C=ommission meeting will be called for Thurs- <br />day, March 25, 1971, at 4:00 P.M., in the Office of <br />the Department of Redevelopment, for the purpose of <br />adopting the following Resolutions: <br />Resolution No. 346: Approving and authori- <br />zing the su mission of a Code Enforce- <br />ment Grant Application for Model Cities <br />East Code Area. <br />'.)
