6. NE BUSINESS (Cont`d <br />r. Re- Appraisals and Photographs I for'Condemnation <br />Cases: Mr. Bruce C. Hammersc mi t, Commission Legal <br />Counsel, requested a motion authorizing the Executive <br />Director and Legal Counsel to obtain re- appraisals and <br />photographs for condemnation cases.. <br />Said motion was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. <br />Helmen, and unanimously carried. <br />s. Benjamin Brown; Parcel No. 12 -5: Mr. Bruce C. <br />Hammers hmiat requested a motion to acquire the Benjamin <br />Brown property (building only), on Parcel No. 12 -5, lo- <br />cated at 208 -210 South Michigan Street, in Indiana R -66, <br />at the concurred-in price, subject to agreement of re- <br />development by the owners and their compliance, with the <br />Urban Renewal Plan as a covenant running with the land. <br />Said motion was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. <br />William , and unanimously carried. <br />t. Boxing Program: Mr. Moon Mullins, Director <br />of Humar Relations, said Mr. Henry Howell, who is, <br />present in the meeting, has 30 youngsters interested <br />in a bo ing program. Mr. Mullins requested use'of one <br />of the buildings our department owns until such' time <br />as it is scheduled for demolition. Return of Retaina a to South Bend Su l , Inc. <br />R -56: B se on a rough survey, South Bend Supply, Inc. <br />paid 10% retainage on $156,816.00, or $15,681.60. Upon <br />final survey, the sale price came out as $130,249.73, <br />requiring a 10% retainage of $13,0.24.97. We should refund <br />their account by the difference between retainage,, or <br />$2,656.6. The motion to refund the amount of $2,656.63 <br />was made by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, and <br />unanimou ly carried. <br />v. Approval of South Bend-Supply Selling Portion <br />of R-56 urchase to McCaffer.
