NEW 13USINESS (COnt'd) <br />The apparent low bidders were: <br />Contract 7 -A Midwest Demolition Corp. $ 5,733.60 <br />Contract 7 -B B & B Wrecking & Excavating, $ 21,117.50 <br />Inc. <br />Mr. Ashen elter stated both of these firms have'bid'on <br />our demol tion contracts before. Midwest has been given <br />very high recommendations by the Building Department; <br />whereas, & B Wrecking & Excavating have done a good <br />job for u in demolition. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams, <br />the contr cts were awarded to the above- stated low <br />bidders, ontingent upon Commission Legal Counsel ap- <br />proval of bid documents. Said motion was unanimously <br />carried. <br />b. Dr. <br />Sam Katz's Rehabilitation Plans: This <br />REHABILITATION PLANS <br />property-Is <br />located on the Northeast corner of Main <br />OF DR. SAM KATZ, R -66. <br />and Colfax, <br />in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal" <br />ACTION DEFERRED. <br />Project, <br />-66, and is the first building to be rehabi- <br />litated. <br />Prior drawings and architect's plans have <br />been submitted; <br />however, nothing is shown for the <br />second and <br />third floors. of the sketch. <br />Mr. Helmep <br />suggested a brief, informal Commission <br />meeting be <br />held to reach some conclusions before the <br />next Regular <br />Commission meeting, and resolve what the <br />owner wants <br />to have on the second and third floors. <br />Said motion <br />was seconded by Rev. .Williams and unani- <br />mously .ca <br />:tied. <br />c. Addendum <br />to S. M. Dix Contract: Approval was <br />ADDENDUM APPROVED TO <br />requested <br />for an addendum to the S. M. Dix contract for <br />S. M. DIX CONTRACT, <br />an evaluation <br />of the Grand Trunk bridge over the St. <br />CENTRAL DOWNTOWN URBAN <br />Joseph River; <br />cost approximately $475.00 to $500.00. <br />RENEWAL PROJECT, R -66 <br />This would be for an analysis of the method of acquisi- <br />tion and the cost to procure. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney, the <br />Addendum was approved in the maximum amount to $500.00, <br />and unanimously carried. <br />d.
