529 <br />December 7th.. 1909. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. M. All members present. <br />Bids opened and referred to Engineer for tabulation for -the Eddy Street Asphalt <br />Macadam, under Improvement Resolution No. 627. <br />Contract awarded to Henry De Vos for the North Eddy Street Pipe Server. <br />Hearing on Assessment Roll for Lealand- and Hudson Ave. Tarvia. Macadam pavement <br />under Improvement Resolution No. 592 was deferred until December loth., 1909 at 10:00 A. M. <br />O'Shea end Shea were given an extension of time to Sept lst 1910 to finish the <br />Meade? Huron and Olive Street Trunk Sewer, under Improvement Resolution No. 551., <br />Engineer Peed assessment Rolls and final estimates for Grading of Howard Street <br />grom Notre Dane Street to Eddy Street. Walk & Curb on Broadway from Fellows Street to <br />Miami Street. Pipe Sewer on Wayne Street front Franklin Street to Taylor Street. Cement Curb <br />on Division Street Prop Main .Street to C. I, & S. R. R. Cement Walk on South Michigan Street <br />from Wayne Street to Division Street. Cement Walk on Napier Street from Walnut, Street to <br />Cherry Street. Grade Curb and Walk on 5th Street from Orange Street to Linden Ave. All under <br />Improvement Resolutions Nos. 557, 5952 5982 603, 6122 6132 616 respectively. <br />Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six con- <br />secutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 9th., day of December 1909, <br />stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office <br />in the City Hall on the 17th day of December 1909, at 10:00 A. M. <br />Resolved Further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted <br />and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be pub- <br />lished on the 8th day of December, 1909 in the South fiend Daily Times, stating that this <br />Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on <br />the 17th day of.December 1909, at 10:00 A. M. <br />Proposition of the Studebaker Bros Mfg. Co. for the replacing of the street <br />sweepers was accepted. <br />Petition filed by the Main Street property owners asking the Board to revoke the <br />permit of H. G. Christman & Co. for closing Fain Street during the construction of the J. 11. <br />Studebaker Building. <br />Set for hearing; Dec. Sth 1909 at 10:00 A. M. H. G. Christman and J. M.Stude-aker <br />to appear before the Board at said time. <br />PETITION. <br />Dec. 7th., 1909. <br />To the Board of Public Works, <br />of the City of South Bend, Ind. <br />Your petitioner, Indiena & Michigan Electric Company, submits to your Board that <br />by resolution of the Common Council passed and approved. November 22, 1909, it -l-;was provided <br />that certain territory should be designated by the Board of Public Works and the Common <br />Council, in which under ground construction of wires for the.transmission of electricity <br />for light, heat and power should be installed. <br />
