(f) Temporary Service <br />Temporary service where metered shall be calculated upon the <br />registration of a meter or meters installed at the approved meter <br />rates. In such cases as the Utility may deem it impractical to install a <br />meter for temporary service, there shall be a minimum monthly <br />charge of twenty dollars ($20.00). If the water consumption <br />computed at approved rates is known to be in excess of the twenty <br />dollars ($20.00) minimum charge, an authorized agent of the Utility <br />shall have the right to estimate said water usage and the estimated <br />usage shall be billed at the approved meter rates. <br />Section II Chapter 17, Article 4, Section 17 -46.3 of the South Bend Municipal <br />Code shall be, and hereby is, amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 1746.3 Bulk Sales Charges. <br />Sales tanker trucks or other bulk users shall be metered or estimated <br />where metering is not feasible and the rates and charges of Section 17 -45 <br />shall apply except there shall be a minimum charge of twenty dollars <br />($20.00) per month. <br />Section III. All ordinances in conflict with the provision of this Ordinance are <br />repealed upon this Ordinance becoming effective as set forth in Section IX herein. <br />Section IV This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and legal publication; <br />provided, however, that this Ordinance shall not become effective unless and <br />until the schedule of rates and charges as set forth herein have been approved by <br />the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and all existing rates and charges of <br />Ordinance No. 8357 -93 shall continue in effect until such approval. <br />1st READING <br />PUBLIC HEARING �V <br />3rd READING C,2,3-97 <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED 6-- 2 1 7 <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Filed in Clerk's Office <br />JUN -4 1997 <br />LORETTA J.
