Personnel and Finance Committee Meeting <br />September 5, 2012 <br />Page 7 <br />Chief Cox noted the importance of meeting the criteria set forth in NFPA 1710 addressing <br />response coverage [Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression <br />Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Career <br />Fire Departments] and how it relates to ISO ratings for insurance; as well as NFPA 1582 <br />addressing Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments. <br />Fire Chief Cox stated that the firefighters should be the cornerstone of wellness programs for the <br />city. <br />Dr. Varner thanked the Chief for his presentation; and noted that in light of the time another <br />session would need to be scheduled. <br />Dr. Varner then adjourned the Personnel and Finance Committee meeting at 6:33 p.m. <br />Respe tfully submitted, <br />Karen L.
