Corporation, Sam Schulman <br />14 -1 Bert Liss (Rent"All) <br />13 -1 Paul Hass <br />RESOLUTION NO. 325, <br />CONDEMNATION OF FOUR <br />PARCELS IN R -66 <br />Mr. He <br />men made motion to approve resolution and send ten- <br />day notice <br />to above - listed owners which was seconded by Rev. <br />Williams <br />and unanimously carried. <br />i <br />Adjustment of Rent: Myers Sewing Center, 417 S. <br />ADJUSTMENT OF RENT, <br />Michigan <br />Street, Parcel 22- 10,:has requested that his rent <br />IND. R -66 <br />be red <br />ced retroactive due to the fact that because of Urban <br />Renewa <br />activity all adjacent stores have been boarded up and <br />his fi <br />m has had a large decrease in business. Mr. Myers <br />will b <br />moving on or before November'10, 1970. It is im- <br />possib <br />e to make this request retroactive and it was recom- <br />mended <br />that rent be written off for the last month, which is " <br />now dUE <br />and up until his moving date. On motion by Mr. <br />Wiggin <br />seconded by Mr. Helmen, the recommendation was'ap- <br />proved <br />j. <br />Approval of Five (5) Rehabilitation Grants: Approval <br />- APPROVAL OF FIVE (5) <br />was re <br />uested for five 5 parcels in the R -57 Project for <br />REHABILITATION GRANTS, <br />Rehabilitation <br />Grants contingent upon receipt of the Rehab- <br />IND R -57 <br />ilitat <br />on Amendatory. Mr. Wiggins made a motion to approve <br />Rehabilitation <br />Grants for Parcels No. 9 -8, 33 -33, 23 -11, <br />10 =10 and <br />22 -47 subject to funding. Said motion was seconded <br />by Rev <br />Williams and unanimously carried. <br />g. Resolution-No. 322: Resolution to adopt an Acquisi 'RESOLUTION NO. 322, <br />tion P licy which incorporates State and Federal law and ACQUISITION POLICY <br />basically sets out the same procedure that has always been, IND. R -66 <br />follow d. This policy is necessary in connection with the <br />use of Proclaimer's which go into effect November 1, 1970. <br />It was noted that this procedure would save four to six <br />months processing time. Mr. Wiggins moved for adoption <br />of thil Resolution and Policy which was seconded `by. _Mr. <br />Helmen and unanimously carried. <br />i. <br />a st <br />1 i ze ti <br />create <br />tion of <br />Cars Assigned to Department: Suggestion was made that USE OF CITY -OWNED <br />be undertaken to reappraise the use of City -owned VEHICLES <br />Iles. This would bring to light the way to best uti- <br />ese cars. Possible pooling of staff activities would <br />more availability of autos and possibly the elimina- <br />some.
