4,154 Friday Aua. 6th. 1909. The.Board met in regular -_session at 10:00 A.-M. All Members present. ,Contract,for Asphalt Macadam Pavement on Notre Dame Street.& Notre Dame Avenue from Jefferson Street to City Limits under Improvement Resolution.No. 596 was awarded to C. H. Defrees. United States Stone being used as filler and Nelsonville Special Rail Block for St. Car track. Contract for Cement Sidewalk & Curb on Broadway Street from Fellows St. to 'Miami Street under Improvement Resolution No.595 was awarded to C. H. Defrees. Pram the ructed to Hearing on Declaratory Resolution No. 599 for pipe Sewer on West Wayne Street manhole at Franklin Street to the Manhole on Taylor Street confirmed. Clerk inst- advertise for bids. Engineer filed estimated cost as follows: (Name of street) (Kind of improvement) West Wayne pipe sewer (Cost) In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said impro- vements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and. approved. Resolved, that notices be published on,the 7th day of August and on the 14th day of August, 1909, in the South Bend Deily Times, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A. M. on the 24 th day of August, 1909. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Engineer filed Assessment Rolls for Water connections in the following Streets to wit: Webster Street from Sample Street to C, I. & S. R. R. ; Notre Dame Street from Jefferson Street to City Limits; Leland & Hudson Avenues from 1st Angle in Leland Avenue to Portage & Terrace Avenues. Under improvement Resolutions No . 589, 5902 594.inelusive. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 7th day of August, 1909 Stating that.. this Board will give a hearing on.the amount of such assessments at its off- ice in the City Hall on the 24th day of Aug., 1909 at 10:00 A. ME. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be -accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 7th day of Aug. 1909, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Boaz,4 will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at it's office in the City Hall on the both day of Aug., 1909, at 10:00 A. 14.
