COMMUNICATION <br />$ 1,438.26 <br />8,404.98 <br />9,310.99 <br />Total 19,153.33 <br />a. 3outh Bend Public Library: Letter dated <br />September 16, 1970, over the signature of Mr. Paul <br />J. Ivank vig, President, advises of their Board's <br />intentio s to meet every and all requirements in <br />order to successfully take action to acquire the <br />"First C ristian Church" property. <br />The Commission discussed the time element in build- <br />ing on t ese sites. Mr. Bruce C. Hammerschmidt, <br />Commissi )n Legal Counsel, advised that plans for <br />construction must be submitted to the Commission <br />within 9 days from the date the property is deeded <br />to the p rchaser and commencement of construction <br />must begin. The Commission can extend the allowed <br />time up to 18 months after title transfer for com- <br />mencement of construction. The property cannot be <br />used for any purpose other than what is permitted <br />in the plan. <br />Mr. Wiggins said if the purchaser does not meet <br />these re uirements within the allotted time, the <br />property automatically reverts back to the Commis- <br />sion. <br />Mr. Wiggins made the motion the letter be received <br />and plac d on file. Said motion was seconded by Rev. <br />Williams and unanimously carried. <br />b. Investment Properties: Mr. Bob Bassel, Real <br />Estate B oker, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has clients <br />interest d in investment properties. His response was <br />in answe to our advertisement in the National Real <br />Estate I vestor Magazine. <br />Motion W s made by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Rev. <br />Williams and unanimously carrted, that Mr. Bassel 's <br />letter, ated September 8, 1970, be placed on file, <br />5.
