Shively and Elias Metz filed. and approved. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 552. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and. terminal points as follows: Con— <br />struction of a Tarviated Macadam pavement of Leland avenue from the end of the present <br />brick pavement at lot 67, Third Plat of Shetterly Place, to the north side of Angella <br />street at the bridge, and including Hudson avenue southwesterly to portage Aveneue. <br />Said improvement shall be known and designated as SHE LELAND AND HUDSON AVENUE <br />TARVIATED MACADAM PAVE14FyNT, and shall be constructed accoRding to the plans and specifi— <br />cations prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution <br />shall be published on the Sth day of May and on the 15th day of May 1909, in the South <br />Bend Daily Times. This board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the <br />City Hall on the 25th day of May 1909, at 10:00 A. M. <br />A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where <br />the property owner sighes waiver required, as according to law. Under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 522, 523, 525, 526, <br />527, 525, 5302 5312 5322 5342 535, 536, 5379 5392 5429 5469 544 respectively. <br />The Board having the matter under consideration, it is decided that from the <br />fact that nearly all of the Brick walks have been.replaced with cement walks in the above <br />named district, it is deemed advisable to rescind all action under the above Resolution <br />and proceed with individual post card notices to property owners having poor side walks. <br />A coiTmunication was received from the L. S. be M. S. Ry. Co. asking permission <br />to detour two of the sidetracks crossing Lafayette street, shifting one track about 4 feet <br />south and th-e other about the width of its self. <br />Ind. and Lich. Elect. Co. notified to turn on Park lights. <br />President. <br />
