COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Letter of Intent from Office Engineers, Inc. <br />This letter, dated May 8, 1970, states the intention <br />of a nev corporation to be formed as a potential <br />develop r, known as "Office Engineers Development <br />Corporation" and their interest in certain parcels <br />in the Downtown area. Mr. Ebel requested authoriza- <br />tion to place the letter on the official record. He <br />stated letters will also be received from other <br />potential developers for the Downtown area. <br />Motion as made by Mr. Wiggins that the above letter <br />be acce ted and placed on file, seconded by Mr. <br />Chenney, and carried unanimously.. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc. and <br />Simonds & Simonds Contract: Authorization was re- <br />quested for the President to execute a contract <br />with the joint venture of Clyde E. Williams & <br />Associates, Inc., of South Bend, and Simonds & <br />Simonds, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in accord- <br />ance with Resolution No. 293, adopted at the <br />Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Commission <br />on April 3, 1970 subject to approval of Commission <br />Legal Co nsel as to legal form and content. The <br />consulta t was selected by the Commission for the <br />designinj of the Downtown Pedestrian Way along <br />Michigan Street, in the Central Downtown Urban <br />Renewal Iroject, R -66. Our staff has reviewed the <br />scope of services provided.
