Mr. Hubbard purchased the property that <br /> year from Alanson Pidqe. It was part of land originally owned by J. H. Service. This <br /> house is significant for its 3 story tower, hooded windows and elaborately detailed <br /> porch. <br /> Ransom Hubbard was born in 1816 in Oneida County. New York. Mr. Hubbard came <br /> west in 1836 and settled in Olive Township. Hubbard was a successful farmer (he owned <br /> 700 acres of land) and was elected County Commissioner 3 times. <br /> The land had various owners. Mark Brummitt purchased it in 1921 Mary Ellen Hooten <br /> in 1928, William 8 Ethylen Driscoll in 1946.
