RESIOLUTION: <br />W H E R E A S$ DONALD A. WIGGINS served as President <br />.,of the.South Bend Redevelopment Commission from <br />January 4_, 1965 to January 2., 1970; and <br />WHEREAS, during his tenure as President, the <br />Commission instituted, implemented and completed <br />various projects, and developed new and improved': <br />progrctme in the execution of said projects with <br />special emphasis on the solution of a wide range <br />of social needs andproblems towards the continued <br />development of-the-City of'J South .Bend; and <br />W H E R-.E A S,,_ -DONALD A. WIGGINS-,,, as President, de- <br />voted generously of his time and efforts in ably <br />conducting and. attending numerous, meetings., hear - <br />ings and ifunctions _and also conferring with public <br />officials and bodies '.civic and neighborhood groups <br />and project:participants in the furtherance of the <br />planning and execution of Urban Renewal Programs; <br />and <br />W H E R E A S, . DONALD A. WIGGINS was acutely: aware <br />and sensitive to community relations, social prob- <br />Ze= of people in the renewal programs, and the :1:­ <br />concerns of minority groups; <br />NOW, THEREFORX, RESOLVE D, <br />that at this 1970 dnnuaZ'meeting of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission, we adopt this Resolution <br />of our sincere appreciation and tribute to his un- <br />zeZfish service and guidance adFresident:of the <br />Commission during the past five years. <br />BE IT FURTHER R E:S 0 L V E D, that.a copy <br />of this Resolution,:be spread upon the minutes of-: <br />this meeting and that,.an embossed copy be presented <br />to DONALD A. WIGGINS. <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />On motion by Mr. Helmen,,seconded.by Rev.
