Tue <br />st llth, 1909. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. <br />All members present. <br />Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for water connections on West <br />Washington street from Michigan street to Walnut street. Bids to be received up to <br />TO A. M. on the 19th day of August, 1909. <br />Engineer reported grade on alley west of Allen street. Same approved. <br />South Bend Chandelier Company were awarded the contract for furnishing lighting <br />Pixtures_for No. 10'Hose House. Contract price $64.75. <br />City Attorney was instructed to take the necessary legal steps to open Cottrell <br />street south to connect Noward Park with the new property recently purchased for park and <br />boulevard purposes, south of the Grand Trunk Railroad. <br />Engineer filed assessment rolls and final estimates for Grade, Curb & Walk on <br />Johnson street from Longley avenue to MicigaN avenue, Carroll street from Pennsylvania <br />avenue to Calvert street, Pipe Sewer on Olive street from Kenwood avenue to Longley <br />avenue; Wayne street from St. Peter street to Notre Dame street and Fisher street from <br />We bster street to Union street, under Improvement resolutions Nos. 471,491,547,556 <br />& 559 respectively. <br />_Resolved, that notices sa to the amounts of assessments be published for six <br />consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 12th day of August, <br />1905, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments <br />at its office in the City Hall on the 25th day of August, 1909, at 7:15 P.M. <br />Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and <br />approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be <br />Published on the 12th day of August 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that <br />this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City <br />Hall on the 25th day of August, 1908, at 7:15 P. M. <br />President. <br />
