Tuesday May 5th, 1905. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Engineer reported Grade on Sancome avenue. Same approved. <br />Contract awarded to Palerton—Powell Hardwood Lumber Company for 30,000 feet <br />of White Oak Lumber for the Street Department. Contract Price 25.00 per Thousand. <br />Contract awarded to B. T. Vanderkarr & Son for cement walk on the west side of the <br />Central Fire Station. <br />Petition filed ITy Gotfried Schipke et. al. for the vacation of'an alley east of <br />Main street from Tutt street to alley south. <br />Light ordered at Corner of Michigan avenue & College street. <br />President. <br />.SPECIAL SESSION TUESDAY EVENING MAY 5TH, 1909, AT 7:15. <br />The Board met in special session at 7:15 P. M. All members present. <br />Hearing on Assessment Rolls and Final estimates for Grade, Curb & Walk <br />on Chapin street; Kendall street; King street; Cedar street and Maple street, under <br />Improvement Resolutions Nos. 492, 4452 4259 490 & 447 respectivelyt was deferred until <br />Tuesday Isgay 12th, 1909, at 7:15 P. M. <br />Hearing given on Declaratory Resolution No. 547 for Pipe Sewer on Olive street <br />from Kenwood avenue to Michigan avenue. Engineer instructed to amend specifications <br />by eliminating that.p art of the improvement from Longley avenue to Michigan avenue. <br />. In the above matter -no remonstrators.appeared:=.and no remonstrances were filed. The <br />Board therefore find that in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits <br />to the property and to the City of South Bend are.equal to the estimated cost of said <br />improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Engineer filed estimated cost of Olive street Pipe Sewer........ 3 0 00 <br />Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the Ith day <br />of May and on the 14th day of May, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times to the effect <br />that this Board will receive bids for said improvement up to 10 am. on the 19th day of <br />Ma.y, 1908.
