S. <br />ont'd <br />for the bid opening was given for Thursday, June 26, <br />1969, at 0:00 A. M., in-the Office of the Depart- <br />ment of Re evelopment. <br />e. 14/ North wellington Street 6OUth sent: <br />This particular structure was damaged by fire and <br />is in a dangerous condition, located in the LaSalle <br />Park Urban Renewal Project, Ind. R -57. The Com- <br />missioners were unanimous in approval of a demoli- <br />tion contr ct for $650.00 to remove this hazardous <br />situation. <br />f. Neighborhood Develo ment Program: 'Four - <br />(4) consultants have been interviewed for the <br />purpose of assisting the staff in preparing a <br />Neighborho d Development Program application.for <br />the improv ment of a large section of community, <br />included bit not limited to the Ohio - Keasey area. <br />The four c resultants being: <br />Harland Bartholomew and Associates- <br />B rton- Aschman Associates, Inc. <br />City Planning Associates, Inc. <br />James H. Neidigh & Associates <br />It was felt all the firms were qualified and <br />could do t e job. The Commission stated they <br />were very impressed with Harland Bartholomew and <br />Associates' presentation and ability as demon- <br />strated in past service with the City. On motion <br />by Mr. Wi elm, seconded by Rev. Williams, Harland <br />Bartholome and Associates was.designated.as.the <br />consultant for the NDP. <br />g. Legal Services: Mr. Bellinger requested <br />approval f r a contract for legal services which <br />are a dire 2t result of the N.A.A.C.P. Suit, in- <br />volved in the Central Downtown`Urban- Renewal Pro- <br />gram, Ind. R -66. This contract must be separate <br />and apart from any the Department now has for the <br />legal services, and is in conjunction with the <br />legal work required in settlement of the suit. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wilhelm, <br />the contra 2t was approved for legal services bf r <br />the Commis ion Counsel, Mr. Bruce C.
