COMM <br />ICATIONS _ <br />a. Letter <br />dated June --17; 1969, from United`' <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Community <br />3ervices, directed to Mr. Donald A. - <br />Wiggins, President <br />of the Redevelopment Commission, <br />is an offi <br />ial notification that the LaSalle Park <br />Diagnostic <br />Survey and Referral Services Report <br />has been e <br />mpleted, and they are requesting formal-, <br />acceptance <br />by the Redevelopment Commission. Mr. <br />Bellinger <br />ipprised the work as completed by pro- <br />fessionals <br />and has been a great deal of help to <br />our staff <br />'n carrying out its- responsibilities for <br />social improvement <br />in the LaSalle Park neighbor- <br />hood. President <br />Wiggins -said this is well in the <br />light of community <br />interest and requested if each <br />Commissioner <br />would express-their interest and satis- <br />faction of <br />the work performed. UCS should be con- <br />gratulated <br />for their interests and efforts for the <br />pioneering <br />accomplished. President Wiggins also <br />stated that <br />we are still--in their debt and the <br />community should <br />recognize that they provide real <br />service to <br />the community. It was the consensus'of: <br />the Commissioners <br />to so advise. <br />5. - NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Change Order No. 2 to Contract "G" _ <br />Allev Improvements: This Change Order is from <br />Chas. W. Cole & Son and covers additions to <br />and /or deletions from the work to be performed <br />by\Bitumin us Materials Co., Inc,,'in the LaSalle <br />Park Urban Renewal Project, Ind. R -57. The con- <br />tract calla for paving an alley, later found to <br />be vacated several years ago to facilitate land <br />assemblage Two small east -west alleys have been <br />added in o der to provide access to garages.- The <br />City n Engineer and the Building Department are ap- <br />prised of hese changes and agree the changes are <br />in'lorder. The total increase is in the amount of <br />$785.23,,wllich calls for excavation, proper back-' <br />CHANGE <br />ack - <br />-4- <br />CHANGE ORDER NO.21, <br />CON -TRACT "G" -ALLEY <br />IMPROVEMENTS, LASALLE <br />PARK URBAN RENEWAL <br />PROJECT, R -57 <br />
