A <br />family <br />or individual, may now receive up to $5,000 <br />for replacement <br />housing cost, if eligible. The relo- <br />cation <br />adjustment payment was raised -from $500 to <br />$1,000 <br />Those entitled to a :replacement hoes1ng .grant <br />are owner-occupants <br />of property acquired by Urban Re- <br />newal. <br />The difference of the purchase price of the <br />house 4nd <br />the replacement house cost may be provided' <br />up to <br />5,000. Displaced families eligible for - -,public <br />housin <br />units, but find no units available, and, <br />there f <br />re, must secure a private rental unit, can <br />make a <br />plication for additional relocation payment.. <br />This r <br />solution would authorize the 'staff to submit <br />an app <br />ication so that these funds.can be.made avail- <br />able. <br />On motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. <br />Chenne <br />, Resolution No. 263 was adopted. The "ayes" <br />were u <br />animous for approval. <br />Mr. Ch <br />nney asked if the office was noti_fyi.ng the <br />people <br />in the project area. Mr. Bellinger stated <br />informational <br />letters covering these points have-been <br />sent tc <br />those who have been displaced or may be dis- <br />placed, <br />If the family, or individual, has already <br />relocated <br />and is otherwise eligible, they can still <br />receive <br />these additional grant benefits. <br />c. <br />Resolution No. 264: This Resolution is to <br />RESOLUTION NO. 264, <br />authorize <br />the filing of an amendatory application <br />INDUSTRIAL EXPANSION <br />for the <br />making of.additi:onal.relocation claim pay- <br />PROJECT,.
