A family or individual, may now receive up to $5,000 for replacement housing cost, if eligible. The relo- cation adjustment payment was raised -from $500 to $1,000 Those entitled to a :replacement hoes1ng .grant are owner-occupants of property acquired by Urban Re- newal. The difference of the purchase price of the house 4nd the replacement house cost may be provided' up to 5,000. Displaced families eligible for - -,public housin units, but find no units available, and, there f re, must secure a private rental unit, can make a plication for additional relocation payment.. Mr. Bellinger stated informational letters covering these points have-been sent tc those who have been displaced or may be dis- placed, If the family, or individual, has already relocated and is otherwise eligible, they can still receive these additional grant benefits. c.
