Parrish. <br />e� North Central Regional Workshop, March 31 <br />throw i April 29 1969: This was a rehabilitation <br />worksh )p jointly sponsored by NAHRO and the Univer- <br />sity o Notre Dame. Most of the.rehabilitation staff <br />was ab a to take in all the sessions. Mr. Bellinger <br />stated it is some relief to see other cities with <br />simila problems and showing less accomplishments <br />than t e City of South Bend. President Wiggins.... <br />stated iities that this.. was an opportunity -.for people <br />direct y involved to get a comparison as td how <br />other are approaching their problems. It <br />was the general consensus of opinion of Mrs. Jane <br />Maager, Mrs. Janet Allen and Mr. Edgar Seybold, <br />who attended the workshop, that it was very informa- <br />tive a d brought out problems that were openly dis- <br />cussed with qualified panelists to answer questions. <br />Mrs. M ager stated their network had two coverings <br />in TV n the Workshop. <br />f Status of NAACP Suit: Mr. Richard Balough <br />asked the status of the NAACP suit and what measures <br />are be ng taken. President Wiggins stated this matter <br />is under consideration and is hopeful the matter can <br />be resolved by next week, and if the suit can be with- <br />drawn, then this ends the whole problem. This would <br />be the most efficient and expeditious way to handle. <br />Mr. Ba ough asked the Commission what they are going <br />to do if the suit is not withdrawn. President Wiggins <br />stated if it is not withdrawn, there is only one re- <br />course go to Court and get it withdrawn so we can <br />proceed. Mr. Balough asked if next week was the dead- <br />line aid President Wiggins replied that things are not <br />solved on a club basis.
