4. NEW BUSINESS <br />a Resolution NO. 258: This is a Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 258, <br />reques ing concurrence in acquisition prices by HUD CENTRAL DOWNTOWN <br />for re ;l estate and irremovable fixtures,.for.Block URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, <br />22, in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R -66 <br />R -66, or the following eight.(8) parcels: <br />22 -1, 22 -3, 22 -4, 22 -5A, 22 -9, 22 -109 <br />22 -11 and 22 -12. ; <br />All of the parcels, in question, are located within <br />the Urban Renewal Area and are positioned across <br />from the proposed Post Office .site. Block 22 con- <br />tains several vacant buildings. and is located on <br />the West side of Michigan Street. Not all of this <br />block is to be acquired however.: This is the fifth <br />block in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project <br />submitted to the Federal Government for concurrence. <br />Approval, by HUD, for the prior four blocks submitted <br />has not been received to date and is being held in <br />abeyance, in all probability;, due.to the pending suit <br />initiated by the local NAACP which has not been re- <br />solved. A motion was entertained for adoption of <br />Resolution No. 258 by Mr. Wilhelm, seconded by Rev. <br />William . The "ayes" were unanimous for adoption <br />of Resolution No. 258. <br />b. Resolution No. 259: This is a Resolution <br />to'auth rize the Department of Redevelopment to <br />submit disposition documents and agreements for <br />sale of land in the Industrial Expansion Urban <br />Renewal Project, R -56, at a minimum disposition <br />price o twenty -three (230) per square foot. The <br />land wi 1 be sold by sealed bids at a public offer - <br />ing wit a predetermined minimum fair value of 23¢.: <br />The;are is generally bounded.by Cotter..Street on <br />the Nor h, Kendall on the East, the Grand Trunk <br />Western Railroad Company on the South, and Prairie <br />Avenue on the West -- consisting of approximately 13 <br />acres. The Chair entertained a motion for adoption <br />OfReso ution No. 259, and on motion by Mr. Wilhelm, <br />seconded by Rev.
