Wednesday November_26th, 1907. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />The Clerk of the board having presented to this board an ordinance heretofore <br />passed by the Common Council and known as ordinance No. 1445, which ordinance is an <br />instruction to the Board of Public Works to purchase from August and Louise Beyer a <br />tract of land for the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, all as set forth in a proposition <br />filed with the Council by the said Beyers and the Board being advised in the matter <br />and having fully considered the same, it is held and decided that the real estate named <br />in said proposal and ordinance is not reasonably worth Ten Thousand Dollars and that <br />the Board of Public Works would not be justified in entering into a contract obligating <br />the etty to pay such sum for said real estate and the Board of Public Works therefore <br />rejects said proposition and respectfully declines to enter into such contract and it <br />Is ordered that a communication be addressed to the Common Council renewing the request <br />heretofore made that the council authorize the Board of Public Works to acquire said <br />-real estate for park purposes by Condemnation. <br />Contract awarded to Louis A. Hickey for the construction of the No. 10 Hose House. <br />Contract price $6,964.00. <br />Hearing given on Assessment Roll and final estimate for the Bribk Pavement on <br />California street & Woodward avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 429. <br />O <br />In the above matter no further remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrances <br />..*ere filed. All other remonstrances over -ruled. The Board therefore find that the <br />property assessed in said rolls as amended, filed October 23, 1907m is benefitted in <br />the amounts of assessments as shown on said rolls, as amende4,and the Board further <br />Find that the assessment roll filed October 23rd, 1907, and the final estimate allowed <br />October 23d, 1907, should be and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confired <br />end approved, as amended. <br />Communication received from the Board of Public Safety recommending the wv;yarding <br />of the Contract to Louis A. Hickey for the No. 10 Hose House, and further recommending <br />ghat the tile roof be changed to Stained creasote shin glen, and the interi,r of <br />apparatus room to have Imitation keen cement tileing instead of white enamel brick. <br />UO <br />President. <br />
