17 <br />Wednesday October 23rd. 1907. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. 11. Mr. Nicar absent. <br />Petition filed by the Indiana Lumber & Mfg Co. asking permission to build <br />a stairway to the basement of the Kable Lunch Room on Jefferson street at the. <br />Corner of Michigan street. Referred to the Engineer. <br />Petition filed for Brick Pavement on Osborn street and Brick Pavement and Pipe <br />Sewer on Tiller Court. Referred to the Engineer "or specifications. <br />The following Bonds were released: <br />Wayne street E. Walks W. H. Fries <br />Rush street Sewer H. DeVos & Co. <br />Marion Boulevard Grade, Curb & Walk C. L. Headley <br />Michigan avenue Brick Pavement Harry N. Barnes <br />Cedar street Walk & Curb W. H. Fries <br />Coquillard street Walk & Curb H. DeVos & Co. <br />Notre Dame street. Pipe Sewer Staples & Ackerman. <br />Engineer filed assessment rolls and final estimates for Asphalt Pavement on <br />Jefferson street from Michigan street to Lafayette street; Asphalt Pavement on Main street <br />from Jefferson street to Wayne street; Brick Pavement on California street and Woodward <br />avenue from Leland avenue to Hudson avenue. All under Improvement Resolution Nos. <br />4091, 4442 429 respectively. <br />Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six <br />consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 24th day of October, <br />1907, stating that this Board will give a"hearing on the amount of such assessments at <br />its office in the City Hall on the 5th day of November 1907, at 7:15 P. M. <br />Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and <br />approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be <br />published on the 24th day of October 1907, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating <br />that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the <br />City Hall on the 5th day of November 1907, at 7:15 P. 11. <br />Hearing on Condemnation Resolutions for the opening of Woodward avenue & Elwood <br />avenue; Rupel street; Werwinski street; Alley between Werwinski street & Longley avenue; <br />College street; Longley avenue and Terrace avenue, under Condemnation Resolutions <br />Nos. 36, 372 39, 392 402 41 & 42 respectively, deferred until Wednesday October 34th, <br />19072 at TO'I.A.
