HUD office le <br />'d <br />27. 1968 <br />proposed bidding documents for alley improvements, La- <br />Salle Park Urban Renewal Project, R-57: The authoriza = - <br />tion to advertise the work for bids has been received <br />from the HUD office. With the taking of the bids in <br />February, the contractors can schedule this work with <br />the first break in the weather this spring. This will <br />complete the site improvement work in LaSalle Park. <br />On motioa by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Wilhelm, <br />authorization was granted to select a date most expedi- <br />tious fo this work. Under'Alternate B, the low <br />bid by W:)odruff & Sons, Inc. was $20,465.00. Requests for <br />Alternate B were made with the possibility that Alternate <br />A--the normal procedure - -would exceed the budget. Conse- <br />quently, the Department secured authorization from the <br />Fire Department and the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />to burn these structures if necessary.
